DIRECTORATE GENERAL, CENTRAL RESERVE POLICE FORCE ( COMMUNICATION DIRECTORATE) RECRUITMENT

Applications are invited from Male Indian citizens for filling up of vacancies in the rank of Assistant. Sub Inspector (Technical) in the Central Reserve Police Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India in the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200(PB-1) and Grade Pay Rs. 2800 with DA, Ration Money and other allowances as admissible to the members of the Force from time to time as well as free accommodation, uniform, LTC and medical facilities etc. The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent . Selected candidates will be governed by CRPF Act and Rules and shall be liable to serve any where in India and abroad. The new Contributory Pension Scheme for Central Govt. Employees which came into effect from 01/01/2004 will be applicable to all selected candidates:-

Eligibility conditions for above post is as under:-
A) AGE LIMIT
(i) Age as on 10/04/2012 : a) Between 18 to 25 years.
: b) Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST by 5 years and for OBC by 3 years. For Ex- Servicemen and other categories of persons in accordance with the Govt. orders on the subject.
c) For Departmental candidates age relaxation will be 05 years and in addition 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC departmental candidates.

B) EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Matric with English, Maths and General Science with three years diploma in Radio Engineering or Electronics or Computer from recognized Institution .
Or,
B.Sc degree with Physics, Mathematics and English.
Note: Weightage on the percentage of marks secured by the candidates in basic educational qualification, advance qualification and experience in relevant field will be given.

C) MEDICAL STANDARDS :
a) Eye sight : The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 both eyes or one eye 6/6 and other eye 6/9 without correction i. e. without wearing of glasses, must not have squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision for the post.
b) General : The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot or varicose vein. They must be in good mental and physical health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

4) SELECTION PROCESS :
The eligible candidates shall be issued Admit Cards to appear in recruitment test. The date and place of recruitment test will be indicated in Admit Cards. Candidates will have to undergo the following tests: -
A) PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT
Candidates who are found eligible on screening of their original educational certificates will be screened first for height, chest and weight measurements by an officer of the recruitment board before sending them for PET.

B) PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST(PET) :
The candidates who fulfill physical standards will be required to pass Physical Efficiency Test consisting of following events:
a) 100 Meter Race in 16 seconds
b) 1.6 Kms in 6.5 minutes maximum.
c) Long Jump : 3.65 Mtrs in 3 chances
d) High Jump : 1.2 Mtrs in 3 chances
e) Shot Put (16 Lbs) : 4.5 Mtrs in 3 chances
Note:- A candidate must qualify in all the above events. Failure to qualify in any of the above events of PET will render the candidates disqualified to appear in written examination. PET does not carry any marks. However weightage on marks of basic qualification, advance qualification and experience in relevant field will be given as under:-

i) Weightage on the percentage of marks secured by the candidates in basic qualification as in Recruitment Rules i.e. out of 100 maximum marks, 40% marks will be for basic qualification of a candidate. For example candidate securing 80% marks in basic qualification will be awarded 32 marks out of 40 and so on.
Maximum 40 marks
ii)Advance qualification in relevant field. { Trained in Software or Hardware, Networking/Programming of computers will get 5 marks for each qualification. Further candidate in procession of degree of BCA/B.Tech will get 05 marks and MCA or PG degree in relevant field will get full marks i.e. 10 marks}.
Maximum 10 marks
iii) Experience in relevant field. {2 marks will be awarded for each year of experience in the relevant field}.
Maximum 10 marks

C) WRITTEN TEST
The candidates who have qualified in the PET are to appear for the written test of 20 marks (Objective type) in Maths, Physics/Science and Computer awareness.
Minimum cut off percentage of marks for qualifying the Written Test for the post will be as per details under:-
a) General and Ex- Servicemen : 35%
b) SC/ ST/ OBC : 33%
Candidates scoring minimum marks in the written test will be eligible to be called for the Interview.
D) INTERVIEW AND PERSONALITY TESTS

i) As per merit candidates three times the number of vacancies in the post and category will be called for interview and personality test.

ii) Interview and personality test will be of maximum 20 marks.

LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS
Application in prescribed proforma along with requisite documents should reach the respective recruitment centre on or before 10/04/2012 for all States except for State of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizorum, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim and Ladhak Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island and lakshadweep for which last date is 17/04/2012.
