BANGALORE METRO RAIL CORPORATION LIMITED INVITES APPLICATION VARIOUS POST

BMRCL invites qualified and experienced personnel for a walk-in-interview for appointment to key senior and middle level management positions on deputation / contract basis. Retired employees from Government / PSUs, not more than 63 years of age for all posts except for the post of Chief Engineer (Designs) and not more than 65 years of age for the post of Chief Engineer (Designs) , are also eligible to apply for the posts, for contract appointment.
1-Chief Engineer (Designs)
The candidate will be head of the team to spearhead the design development of Metro rail projects. The Chief Design Engineer, shall be responsible for checking/reviewing the designs of piles, piers, segmental viaducts, tunnels, ROBs, interchanges and any other structure to be constructed in the Metro Rail Project. The candidate requires to interact with Systems Division dealing with AFC, S&T, OCC, Electrical Systems etc. to take care of integration of Civil Structures with Systems.

2- Chief Accounts Officer
• Ensuring that for every receipt and for every payment, proper Accounting entries are passed resulting in upto-date accounts all the time.
• Finalisation of Accounts including -
• Ledger Review.
• Bank Reconciliation.
• Confirmation of Balances.
• Classification of Assets.
• Updation and maintenance of Fixed Assets Register.
• Preparation of Trial Balance.
• Preparation of Financial Statements including Balance Sheet, P&L Account, Schedules, Cash Flow Statement.

• Attending to Statutory Audit and AG Audit.
• Regularly attending to Internal Audit compliances.
• Reporting compliance on Audit Queries and appearing before the Audit Committee.
• Fund Management (receipts, payments, cash and bank transactions, cash and fund flow etc) including ensuring that the financial resources are secured and funds deployed efficiently and effectively.
• Overseeing implementation and usage of ERP packages in respect of Modules relating to Finance and Accounts.
• Bill payments.
• Coordination and consolidation of the annual, short and long term financial plans, budgets, forecasts, prepare, analyse and report the results to the Management.
• Investment of Short Term Surplus Funds and matters related thereto.
• Preparation of periodical Financial Progress Reports and other MIS Reports relating to Finance & Accounts.
• Attending to all tax related matters.
• Coordination with O&M Division in respect of Finance & Accounts matters.Correspondence with GoI, GoK and Financial Institutions in respect of the above matters.

3- Deputy General Manager( Costing, Finance & Accounts)
• Ensuring that the Ticketing Revenue (Fare Box collection) is properly recorded, accounted and reconciled and generation of MIS Reports therefor.
• Establishing a Costing Division and generation of Costing Data and MIS Reports.
• Experience in handling finance & costing aspects of Property Development.
• Ensuring that all receipts and payments, proper Accounting entries are passed resulting in upto-date accounts all the time.
• Assisting in finalisation of Accounts including -
• Ledger Review.
• Bank Reconciliation.
• Confirmation of Balances.
• Regularly attending to Internal Audit compliances.
• Reporting compliance on Audit Queries and appearing before the Audit Committee.

4- Officer (PropertyDevelopment)
Shall be responsible for all costing and finance aspects of property development including maintenance of
 Registers / database therefor, Statutory compliances, accounting, coordination, attending to Audit queries, generation of MIS Reports and Progress Reports. He shall assist the DGM (Costing, Finance & Accounts).
Stores Officer Establish a computer based Inventory-cum-Stores Control System by coordinating with the ERP Developer. This includes the following:
• Identifying Stores items and their classification taking into consideration the criticality of the item, the value of the item as also the volume of the item.
• Scientific Stores Space Planning, based on Materials Management Principles.
• Coding each Stores item, which should facilitate identification of the item, its location and the Department.
• Computer based Stores Register which should facilitate updation of the Stores Register on every receipt and every issue as well as control through minimum and maximum stocks as also generation of MIS reports.
• Designing a System for receipt and issue and quality certification including requisition for stores and their
recording, requisition for purchase and its further processes etc.  Shall be responsible for handling all functions relating to procurement and distribution of stores. Should be well versed with stocking, stacking and timely procurement of needy items, to ensure smooth operations of the Metro.

VACANCIES:
1. Chief Engineer (Designs)
BE/B.Tech. Graduate (Civil Engineering) or Equivalent
OR
ME/M.Tech Graduate. (Structural Engineering) or equivalent

Software Skills:

Essential :
Computer Aided Design Softwares like Stadd Pro,  Strap, R m Software, ETab,
Desirable:
Finite element Analysis Packages Should be a Member atleast in one National Institution of relevant Discipline like Indian Institute of Engineers, Institute of Bridge Engineers or Indian Institute of Consulting
Engineers.
Experience
In case of B.Tech. Graduates, the candidates should have minimum experience of 15 years, out of which, 10 years in design of Viaducts, Bridges and Buildings (preferably Multistoried). Out of 10 years, 6 years should be hands on experience in “Designs” i.e. preparation of designs by self and not through others.

In case of M.Tech. Graduates, the candidates should have minimum experience of 10 years, out of which, 8 years in design of Viaducts, Bridges and Buildings (preferably Multistoried). Out of 8 years, 3 years should be Hands on experience in “Design” i.e. preparation of designs by self and not through others.

The candidates should be familiar with the Standard  Codes and Practices followed in India for Buildings, Bridges etc.

2. Chief Accounts  Officer in Project Wing
Should be a Graduate and Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India / Institute of Costs and Works  Accounts of India / Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
At least 5 years post qualification experience in Finance / Accounting / Audit / setting up Financial, Accounting and Audit systems and procedures in a Company having a turnover of not less than ` 100 cr.
p.a. of which should include at least 3 years at the level of Manager or equivalent. The candidate should be
capable of working in a computerized environment possess knowledge of accounting standards & funds management. Should have proven ability to handle related functions  independently.

3. Dy. General Manager (Finance & Accounts) in O & M wing
Should be a Graduate and Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India / Institute of Costs and Works Accounts of India / Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
At least 5 years post qualification experience in Finance / Accounting / Costing / Setting up of Costing Systems and Procedures in a Company having a turnover of not less than ` 100 cr. p.a. of which should include at least 3 years at the level of Manager or equivalent. The candidate should be capable of working in a computerized environment possess knowledge of accounting standards, funds management, Inventory and Stores management. Should have expertise in costing related matters. Should have proven ability to handle related functions independently.

4. Officer (Property Development)
M.Com or MBA (Finance) or any Degree with CA Inter/CSInter/ ICWA-Inter Minimum 4 years  post qualification experience in Finance/Accounts/Audit. Experience in handling Property Development
aspects is desirable.
Experience in handling finance and Costing aspects of Property Development. Should have operational
knowledge of MS Office.

5. Stores Officer in O & M wing 
Engineering Graduate in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Civil Engineering preferably with Degree / Diploma in Materials Management.
Should have worked in similar capacity for at least 3 years with overall minimum experience of 10 years in the field of Stores Management preferably in a large PSU / Defence / Railways.
SELECTION
1. Candidates appearing for walk-in-interview should down load application format attached, fill up the same and come along with all the relevant certificates, testimonials as prescribed for the post in originals and one set of Photostat copies for verification. After verification, the candidate has to submit a set of Photostat copies of verified certificates and testimonials.
2. Any candidate found guilty of impersonation or submitting fabricated documents or making statements, which are false or incorrect or attempts to use unfair means for the purpose of recruitment, will be liable for rejection.
3. The candidate shall have to indicate his/her acceptance to the offer within fifteen

days from the receipt of offer, if not, next candidate in order of merit will be offered

the appointment on similar lines. The Competent Authority may grant such extension

of time depending upon the exigencies.

4. The candidates shall have to appear for interview at their own cost.

V. MISCELLANEOUS

1. Documents in support of qualification and relevant experience shall be submitted

along with the Resume in the prescribed application format, at the time of interview.

Non-submission of documents along with the Resume, will lead to rejection of

candidature at any stage during the process of recruitment.

2. BMRCL shall not be liable for any damage / injury / loss to the individual, if any,

sustained during the entire recruitment process and journey.

Floor, BMTC Complex, K.H. Road, Shanthinagar, Bangalore-560 027,

Interviews will be held from 3.00 PM to 6.00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays i.e.

2nd 3rd, 9th 10th, 16th , 17th , 30th and 31st March 2012 ( except 23rd and 24th March

2012).
